Not Dentist Recommended

On the 120 from Burien to Downtown, I had the privilege of sitting next to this lady:

In case you can't tell, she's busy flossing.  Like, mint green string, dentist recommended flossing.  And she wasn't just trying to get a small piece maybe stuck between her teeth.  She did her whole mouth.  Her saliva was pooling and dripping everywhere and she calmly used the napkin beside her to dab the wet spots it left on the seat.

As a patron of public transportation--especially of the 120--I get to see all walks of life riding the bus.  Business suits, homeless drunkards, heroine addicts, prostitutes, hipsters, college kids, little kids, etc.  Knowing that, I can't imagine why someone would want to touch the bus anymore than they have to, particularly their mouths.  I feel like this lady put more crap in than flossing it out.

When I first moved to Seattle, I walked around a lot trying to explore the neighborhood.  On my way to the library one day, I noticed all the trees had turned colors.  It was gorgeous and I wished I had more than my camera phone to take a picture:

The pinks, reds, oranges were so brilliant and it was a nice, sunny day that I couldn't help but notice.

When I worked on Thanksgiving, the city had just put lights up in Westlake Park:

In these moments, Seattle is awesome.  But just in that moment.  As a native Californian, the weather here makes me a pansy as I carry a space heater with me from room to room.

Lady Gaga

I worked on Thanksgiving.  As I was waiting for my boyfriend to get off work as well, I was walking through downtown Seattle, seeing all the midnight Black Friday shoppers.  I passed by Barney's and this was in their display window:

I'm not a Lady Gaga fan, but I thought the idea was super cute and creative.  These were my favorites:

We never had projects like this when I was in elementary school.
